MUTANT LINE   NMF4 Contact JAX-NMF for ordering information
Synopsis:

Visible head tilt; slight body tremor.

Detailed Phenotype Description:

The mutants develop detectable head-tilt and slight tremor by weaning age (average onset 16 +/- 3 days). Mutants of either gender have been produced and homozygotes are viable. Detailed whole ear histology on 1 mutant (age 48 days) showed saccular and utricular otoconia; no labyrinth malformation was observed. Standard pathology work-up on 3 other mutants (age 20 days) showed the thymus had a thin, atrophic cortex with few lymphocytes and some apoptosis; the spleen was very small. Standard eye histology on one mutant and one control littermate (age 29 days) showed no abnormalities.

Abnormal Assays:Domain(s):
Overt movement/posture (view protocol) Auditory/Vestibular, Movement/Neuromuscular Function, Visible Mutants
