MUTANT LINE   112TNR Contact TMGC for ordering information
Synopsis:

Exceptional perfomance on rotarod training and performance

Detailed Phenotype Description:

This recessive mutation (tmgc56), linked to Chr 15, was detected in the progeny of C57BL/6JRn males given one dose of 150 mg/kg ENU. The 112TNR pedigree is highly adept at staying on the rotarod. The first measure is rota train time (which is seconds that the mouse remains on the rotarod [ROTA_TRAIN_TIME). The mean (+/- SD) for the TNR's as a whole is 42+/-6.6 while that for 112TNR is 84.8 +/- 16.6. This makes this pedigree 6.5 SD away from the mean. The next nearest pedigree has a mean of 65.7 sec. Because of the high baseline ability, these mice also are adept at remaining on the rotarod after ethanol with a mean of 58.7 +/- 17.5 while that for all the TNRs is 28.8 +/- 4.4 [ROTA_ETHA_TIME]. Again, this pedigree is over 6 SD from the mean.
